Berdina Luehring, age 98, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia, Minnesota.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, December 20, 2015, 2:00 P.M. at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, Minnesota, with interment following at First Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Glencoe, Minnesota.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 20, 2015, from Noon - 2:00 P.M., two hours prior the service at the church.
Obituary
Berdina Emma Alma (Sell) Luehring was born on May 4, 1917, in Round Grove Township, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Carl A. and Dorothea (Frauendienst) Sell. Berdina was baptized as an infant on May 27, 1917, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on March 29, 1931, both by Rev. C. H. Kowalske at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stewart, Minnesota. She received her education thru the 8th grade at a country school near Stewart, Minnesota.
On April 16, 1937, Berdina was united in marriage to John Henry Luehring by Rev. C. H. Kowalske at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stewart, Minnesota. The couple made their home on a farm in Moltke Township, Sibley County, Minnesota, until 1966, when they retired from the farm and moved into Glencoe. Berdina and John were blessed with three children, Wayne, Arlys and Sandra. They shared 63 years of marriage, until John passed away on November 2, 2000.
In addition to being a loving wife, mother and homemaker, Berdina helped John on the farm. She also worked at the Glencoe Hospital, Telex and Green Giant all in Glencoe, Minnesota. Berdina was an active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Moltke Township before joining First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, Minnesota.
Berdina enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning and baking. She cherished the time spent with family and friends.
Berdina passed away on December 14, 2015, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia, Minnesota, at the age of 98 years, 7 months and 10 days.

Berdina is preceded in death by her Parents, Carl A. and Dorothea Sell; Husband, John Luehring; Son, Wayne Luehring; Siblings, 4 Brothers, 6 Sisters.
