Service Information
John G. Noplos, age 82, of Darwin, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at his home.
Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson, with Private Family Burial in Oakland Cemetery in Hutchinson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.
Memorials preferred to All Saints Lutheran Church in Darwin, Minnesota.
Obituary
John George Noplos was born on October 5, 1940, in Dekalb, Illinois. He was the son of George and Velva (Nance) Noplos. John received his education in Dekalb, where he was on the wrestling team. He was a proud graduate of Dekalb High School Class of 1958. After high school he was employed at Wurlitzer Piano Factory.
John was employed as a meat cutter for many years for various grocery stores in both Illinois and Minnesota. He eventually retired to his treasured lake home in rural Darwin, Minnesota on Lake Washington. John was an active member of All Saints Lutheran Church in Darwin, Minnesota.
John enjoyed serving at his church, gardening, golfing, fishing, and boating. He loved watching wrestling, Twins baseball, and the Vikings. He truly enjoyed sitting in his sun porch watching the sun rise and set. John especially cherished spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends.
John passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at his home surrounded by family at the age of 82 years.

John is survived by his Daughters Debbie (Kevin) Hynes, Cindy (Andy) Franklin, Dawn (John) Maluck, Candy (Jason) Blom, Peggy Noplos, Cassie (Ben) Carlson; “Adopted Daughters” April and Bekah; His brother Tony (Cindy) Noplos; many Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, God-Children, and other relatives and friends.
John is preceded in death by his Parents, George and Velva Noplos; his sisters Mary and Bess; his beloved Son, Jimmy Noplos (Marie); and his Grandchildren, Emily, Jaxson, (Piper).

So very sorry for your loss. We still live in the trailer…we probably would have still been stuck in apartments if it wasn’t for John…my kids grew up with a yard and dogs because of him
