My mom was to say the least, “unique”. We all go through life experiences, some good and some bad. My mom and I haven’t been on speaking terms for the past several years. Sadly, we will never have that time back and our time to reconcile is over. I loved my mom, but she could be difficult, I believe that her heart was in the right place even though at times her actions didn’t show it. I will always be grateful for the things she’s done for me, although at times things were meager, they were the best she could do. We all have battle scars that define who we are and what we become, I also believe that we can overcome those deficiencies and make change for the better. I like the phrase, “change our stars”. Mom will be missed, I hope the rest of the family sees that life is short and time is a great healer, let’s make the best of what time we have left. Hopefully, mom earned her wings and is waiting on the other side with open arms.

    -Lisa
