Betty J. Kramer

Obituary

Betty Jean Kramer was born on June 24, 1932, in New Ulm, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Paul and Lydia (Ruehnow) Bode. Betty was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith as a youth at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in New Ulm. She received her education in New Ulm, and was a graduate of New Ulm High School.

On June 22, 1957, Betty was united in marriage to Oliver Kramer at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in New Ulm. They were blessed with seven children, Gary, Laurie, Gerald, Dale, Laurel, Janal, and Kevin. Betty and Oliver resided in Gibbon, Minnesota, and later moved to Hutchinson, Minnesota. They shared 66 years of marriage.

Betty was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon.

Betty enjoyed reading, needle work, cooking, polka dancing and tending her vegetable and flower gardens. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Betty passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson, at the age of 91 years.

Betty is preceded in death by her Parents, Paul and Lydia Bode; Daughter, Janal in infancy; Son, Kevin in infancy.
