Eric C. Hahn

Obituary

Eric Charles Hahn was born on July 9, 1973, in Hampton, Virginia. He was the son of Gary and Linda (Pomplun) Hahn. Eric was baptized as an infant on September 2, 1973, by Reverend Walter Kallestad, and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth on May 1, 1988, both at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Gaylord. He was a graduate of the Sibley East High School Class of 1991. Eric grew up in Gaylord and currently resided in Brownton.

Eric entered active military service on January 8, 1992, and served his country in the United States Army. He received an Honorable Discharge on June 17, 1994, having achieved the rank of SP4. He also served with the United States National Guards.

Eric was employed in masonry work for Wacholz in Waconia, Minnesota.

Eric enjoyed deer and pheasant hunting; anything to do with the outdoors. He enjoyed antiques and going to thrift stores. Eric was a fun loving and charismatic man. And his love for his children was endless. He cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.

Eric passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, in Gaylord, Minnesota, at the age of 50 years. Blessed be his memory.

Eric is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Gordon and Ordella Hahn and Edward and Ella Pomplun.
