Obituary
Lawrence (Larry) Timmons was born May 29, 1952, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was baptized as an infant and confirmed in his faith in his youth. He graduated from North St. Paul High School in 1970. He later attended trade school.
Deeply patriotic, Larry served four years in the United States Air Force, achieved the rank of Sgt., and was honorably discharged in 1975. In July of 1980, he was united in marriage to Judith Engstrom and they were blessed with three daughters, Karissa, Cassandra, and Kyla. Larry was employed as a mechanic at 3M for 30 years where he made many lasting and meaningful friendships, and also where he served on the 3M emergency squad.
Larry’s pride and joy were his ten loving grandchildren with whom he made many cherished memories throughout the years. He could always be found cooking one of his “world-famous” recipes or tinkering with something in the garage. Ever the inventor, he had a thirst for knowledge and loved a challenge resulting in projects galore. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, riding his motorcycles, or playing bingo. Larry was a social person and looked forward to meeting for coffee with his many friends, and he never hesitated to be of service to the people he loved.
Larry will be remembered for his sense of humor and generosity in all things. He lived his values and was always authentic. His big personality touched all those who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.
