Carol C. Dummer, age 76, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Hutchinson Health in Hutchinson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2024, 11:00 A.M., at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson, with interment at a later date in Assumption Cemetery in Eden Valley, Minnesota.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials preferred.
Obituary
Carol Cecelia Dummer was born on November 25, 1947, in Mahnomen, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Leo and Marietta (Ruhland) McCann. Carol was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith as a youth at Assumption Church in Eden Valley, Minnesota. She received her education in Eden Valley, and was a graduate of the Eden Valley-Watkins High School Class of 1965.
On August 31, 1985, Carol was united in marriage to Alvin Dummer at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson, Minnesota. Carol and Alvin resided in rural Dassel, Minnesota, on Lake Jennie. They shared eight years of marriage until Alvin passed away on November 11, 1993. After Alvin’s passing, Carol made her home in Hutchinson.
Carol was employed at 3M in Hutchinson for 34 years before retiring in 2001. Carol was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson and served on the Council of Catholic Women. She was also a member of the McLeod County Historical Society, Common Cup Ministry, and Meals on Wheels.
Carol enjoyed listening to music, reading, traveling, and playing cards. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Carol passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Hutchinson Health in Hutchinson, at the age of 76 years.

Carol is preceded in death by her Parents, Leo and Marietta McCann; Husband, Alvin Dummer; Brother, Dennis McCann; Sisters-in-law, Laurie McCann, Dorothy Dummer.
