Service Information
Lucille Henke age 82, of Winthrop, passed away Friday, August 14th, 2015, at Southview Living Center in Gibbon.
Funeral Service will be Monday, August 17th, 11:00 A.M. at Peace Lutheran Church with interment in the Winthrop Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 16th, from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
Obituary
Lucille Linda (Ellig) Henke was born on January 17, 1933, in Winthrop, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Julius and Emma (Schuette) Ellig. Lucille was baptized as an infant on February 5, 1933, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on October 13, 1946, both at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop. She received her education in Winthrop.
On August 30, 1950, Lucille was united in marriage to Harvey Henke at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop. After their marriage, the couple resided in rural Stewart. Lucille was employed at Hutch Tech, Guidecraft, Green Giant and Dairy Queen. Lucille and Harvey were blessed with three children. They shared 46 years of marriage before Harvey passed away on November 6, 1996.
Lucille was a life-long member of Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop.
Lucille enjoyed reading, playing Bingo, playing cards and Sudoku, and bowling. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
When she needed assistance with her daily care, Lucille became a resident of Southview Living Center in Gibbon and passed away there on Friday, August 14, 2015, at the age of 82 years. Blessed be her memory.

Great-Grandchildren, Lilli Young-Froehlich, Sophia Froehlich, Gavin Byro, Hailey Merkel, Lake Brekke, Ivy Gould;

Sister-In-Law, Adeline Cox;

Lucille was preceded in death by her Husband, Harvey Henke; Parents, Julius and Emma Ellig; Siblings, Lester (Ruth) Ellig, Chester (Lorina) Ellig, Rueben (Emma) Ellig, Maynard Ellig, Mabel (Roger) Cox, Della Ellig, and Marcella (Willard) Frauendienst; Grandson, Kevin Froehlich; Son-In-Law, Ray Gould.
