I am sad to learn at the passing of Roberta. I knew Roberta when we went to school in Golden Valley. When I knew Roberta I found her to be a kind genuine and generous person. I remember her loyalty as a friend not snitching when we snuck out of school to eat Lunch at Bridgmans. We got caught but she took the week in the office. Told them it was all her idea. Although she knew the right door to go out of I went willingly and walked the train track to our lunch away from school. When I said I she didn’t have to take the blame she just said shhhh smiled and said it was not so bad regular that classes were a bore the office she got to do things for teachers and the principal. She made punishment seem like a Holiday. First time we hung out after a football game she wanted to go eat pizza. I reached in my pocket and said well I’ll have a Soda that’s about it but pizza was out. She said no it’s ok I am buying. She had money from babysitting and she was not one but cheap at sharing what she earned. I recall going to Valley Fair with her and her brother Robert she was fine having a little brother to tag along. She came to my wedding and when I moved out of the western part of the twin cities we lost touch. Our lives took different paths yet I always thought of her and searched for her off and on over the years. I am sorry the search for her ended here. I am sorry for her family’s loss.

I knew Roberta back when we both lived in a Golden Valley and attended School there. We got to know each other well and she had my back several times. She was kind and generous to me and although our lives took different paths I thought of her often and tried to find her after we lost touch some 30’years ago. I am sorry to learnnof her passing.
