Elmer A. Luehrs

Obituary

Elmer Arthur Luehrs was born on October 15, 1928, in Glencoe, Minnesota. He was the son of Alfred and Esther (Schuette) Luehrs. Elmer was baptized as an infant on November 4, 1928, by Reverend E. Kolbe and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth on May 3, 1942, by Reverend Alf. Streufert, both at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe. He received his education at a country school.

Elmer lived in Glencoe his entire life. His first job was helping his father on the farm. Years later he worked for BNT Implement, Big Bear for many years, and Young America Corporation. He was a very active and loyal member at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe.

Elmer enjoyed being on the farm. His faith was very important to him. He loved going to family functions and spending time with family and friends.

Elmer passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at GlenFields Living with Care in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 96 years. Blessed be his memory.

Sister-in-law, Sylvia Luehrs;
Many other relatives and friends.

Elmer is preceded in death by his Parents, Alfred and Esther Luehrs; Siblings, Mabel Schade and her husband, Willard, Edwin Luehrs, Marvin Luehrs, Melvin Luehrs, and Helen Sandland.
