Obituary
Audrey Louise (Webster) Kloeckl was born on April 25, 1927, in St. Peter, Minnesota, to Archie and Ardys (Johnson) Webster. Audrey’s life began with a strong foundation of family and faith as she was a lifelong member of Scandian Grove Lutheran Church. She graduated from St. Peter High School in 1944 and went on to further her education to become a registered nurse through the Army Cadet Corps Program at Abbott Hospital, graduating in 1947.
Audrey married Joseph Kloeckl on June 19, 1960, in Gaylord, Minnesota. She was a proud and devoted mother to six children, whose lives she shaped with love, wisdom, and unwavering support.
Audrey lived a full and meaningful life, dedicated to her family, her community, and her career in nursing, which spanned over 50 years. As a registered nurse at the Gaylord Hospitals and Clinics, she offered compassionate care to many, and her dedication to helping others inspired all who knew her. She served as the Administrator of the Gaylord Community Hospital when it opened in 1952. She retired from the clinic in 2000. Audrey was a member of American Legion Auxiliary #433 in Gaylord for more than 50 years.
In addition to her family, faith, and nursing career, Audrey had a wide range of interests and hobbies that brought her much joy. Her greatest joy was spending time with family. Over the years, she also enjoyed horseback riding, bowling, fishing, dancing, golfing, and hunting. In quieter moments, she found joy in playing cards, solving crossword and jigsaw puzzles, reading, cooking, baking, canning, and gardening.
Audrey’s love, laughter, and presence will be greatly missed. She was a true matriarch, a woman whose heart was as big as her legacy. Her adventurous spirit and zest for life made a lasting impact on everyone around her. Her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as the many other loved ones, friends, and patients whose lives she touched.
Rest in peace, Audrey. Your love, kindness, strength, and faith will forever live on in the hearts of those you left behind.
