Joseph “Joe” Bell Milam, age 65, of Winthrop passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at his home in Winthrop with St. Croix Hospice Service due to Melanona Cancer.
A Memorial Moment will be Sunday, April 6, 2025, 9:00 A.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop.
Obituary
Joseph “Joe” was born on August 8, 1959, to Anna (Bell) and Robert “Bob” Milam in Rochester, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed in the Presbyterian faith in Rochester. He graduated in 1978 from Rochester Mayo High School and furthered his education in Hotel Management, received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1982.
Joe met his lifetime partner, Joanne Kuehn, and moved to Winthrop, Minnesota, where they made their lifetime home. They enjoyed 22 years together, where they were blessed with her daughter, Eugenia Kuehn, granddaughter, Grace Struck, and other extended family involvement in his life.
Joe spent more than 40 years in sales in various fields. Joe loved helping people and was also involved in network marketing and insurance fields until he was unable to continue due to cancer. He was placed on hospice care through St. Croix Hospice Service until he passed away at age of 65 years.
Joe is survived by his lifetime partner, Joanne Kuehn; Stepdaughter, Eugenia Kuehn and her husband, Michael Cotterman; Step granddaughter, Grace Struck (Dominick); Children, Ashley (Celso) Martinez, Jason (Lauren) Milam; 7 grandchildren; Brothers, Robert “Bert” (Kathy) Milam, Richard “Rich” Milam (Tim Kessler); Sister, Patty Milam (Dennis Tucker); Sister-in-law, Sue Milam; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his Parents, Anne and Robert “Bob” Milam; Brother, Daniel “Danny” Milam.
