Obituary
Roxanne Iris Block was born on April 6, 1951, in River Falls, Wisconsin, to Donald and DeLane (Sweiger) Johnson. She was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Atwater, Minnesota. She received her education in Grove City and proudly graduated with the Grove City High School Class of 1969.
On October 18, 1969, Roxanne married Frank Rueckert. Their marriage was blessed with three children: Daniel, Tamara, and Denise. Roxanne and Frank shared 33 years of marriage.
On November 17, 2012, she was united in marriage to Richard Block in Las Vegas, Nevada. Through this union, she welcomed Richard’s daughters—Tosha, Amy, and Amanda—into her heart and family. Roxanne and Richard made their home in Hutchinson before settling in Ellsworth Township, where they shared 12 wonderful years of marriage.
Roxanne had a dedicated and fulfilling career. She was among the early employees of Hutchinson Technology Inc., where she worked her way to becoming an executive administrative assistant. She later managed the Hutchinson American Legion Post 96 and most recently served as an office administrator in the Meeker County Treasurer’s Office until her retirement in 2021.
Roxanne had a zest for life and a warm, generous spirit. She loved bowling, golfing, camping, and playing cornhole. A true fan of country music, she especially adored Elvis Presley and proudly claimed her title as a lifelong “super fan.” Above all, she cherished time spent with her family, grandchildren, and friends, creating memories that will be forever treasured.
Roxanne will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and the joy she brought into the lives of those who knew and loved her.
Blessed be her memory.

This came as such a shock and I am so very sorry for your loss! I was blessed to work with Rox while she was at Meeker County. She was, hands down, the most positive, fun-loving individual I’ve ever known. She never acted her age, and I mean that in the best way possible. She lit up a room and just brought so much LIFE into every day. This world is definitely much dimmer without her in it. But I have no doubt, her memory will take on new life in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. You are in my prayers.
