Service Information
Kathryn "Kathy" L. Kobow, age 71, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Acoma Township, rural Hutchinson, with interment in the church cemetery.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Obituary
Kathryn “Kathy” Lois Kobow was born on December 1, 1953, in Hutchinson, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Donald and Lois (Anderson) Dettman. Kathy was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith at Immanual Lutheran Church in Acoma Township, rural Hutchinson. She received her education in Hutchinson, and was a graduate of the Hutchinson High School Class of 1971.
On February 16, 1974, Kathy was united in marriage to John Kobow at Immanual Lutheran Church in Acoma Township. This marriage was blessed with two sons, Brian and Michael. She resided in Hutchinson.
Kathy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also employed in production at Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing (3M) in Hutchinson and later worked in home healthcare. Kathy was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Acoma Township and the Ladies Aid.
Kathy enjoyed bowling, softball, and attending baseball games. She cherished spending time with her family, granddaughters, and friends.
Kathy passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson, at the age of 71 years.

Don Dettman and his wife, Jill of Hutchinson, MN;
Many other relatives and friends.
Kathy is preceded in death by her Parents, Donald and Lois Dettman; Brother, Keven Dettman; Former Husband, John Kobow.
