I gave Jim several rides to various doctor appointments after he got sick. I threatened to stop giving him rides because he was costing me too much money. He kept hearing small noises that I had my mechanic follow-up on. Jim was always spot on!
On grandparents day at my grandkids school I didn’t know how to handle that because I had 6 grandkids in that school. Jim offered to help so the kids felt someone was there for them.
He’ll be missed.
Paul Walker says
Jim and I have known each other since high school. We became very close in the last fifteen years, as we both enjoyed working on and collecting classic cars. We had a lot fun traveling to car shows or races throughout the Midwest, and many times, Jim would find a project car that he would want to drag home.
Jim was a treasure trove of information and knew all the facts and details in the Mopar world and was always willing to help and share his knowledge with others.
Another side of Jim was that he loved kids. Many times, we would go out with the whole family and the grandkids couldn’t wait to see “Uncle” Jim, as they would laugh and tease each other the whole time.
Jim was a true friend and will be greatly missed.
