Service Information

Roger A. Voss, age 86, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Grand Meadows Assisted Living in Glencoe, Minnesota.

Gathering of Family and Friends will be Saturday, June 14, 2025, 12:00 P.M., at the home of his daughter, Lisa Zellmann, 19908 Falcon Avenue, Silver Lake, MN 55381.

Obituary

Roger Allen Voss was born on December 15, 1938 in Roselle, Illinois. He was the son of John and Violet (Christensen) Voss. Roger was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in his faith as a youth at Faith Lutheran Church. He received his education at Hutchinson Public School and graduated in 1958.

On January 6, 1962, Roger was united in marriage to Joan Latzke at Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with three children, Rick, Glen and Lisa. Roger and Joan resided in Hutchinson. They shared 53 years of marriage until Joan passed away on September 28, 2015.

Roger was employed at Louver's Manufacturing for 15 years, and then worked at various manufacturing locations. He retired in 2000. Roger was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson.

Roger and Joan enjoyed many camping trips with their family at Collinwood Regional Park, as well as other campgrounds in Minnesota. They also enjoyed traveling with their Honda Gold Wing motorcycle. In later years, Roger enjoyed traveling with his Ford Ranger pickup, as well as doing various woodworking projects in his shop. He also enjoyed helping at Faith Lutheran Church with the weekly bulletins and monthly newsletters. He truly appreciated the friendship and encouragement he received from Pastor Paulis Pilgrim.

Roger was diagnosed with colon cancer in September of 2024, and passed away on June 8, 2025 at Grand Meadows in Glencoe.

Roger's celebration of life was held at the home of his daughter, Lisa Zellman on Saturday, June 14, 2025.

Roger is survived by his three children, Rick Voss (Patti), Glen Voss, Lisa Zellman (Joel); grandchildren Nicholas, Tyler (McKylie), Miranda, Kaiden, Connor, Logan, Auren, Brandon and Danny; sisters Betty Bryant, Bev Kosek, brother Marlyn Voss (Judy); many nephews and nieces, and other relatives and friends.

Roger is preceded in death by his Father and Mother, John and Violet Voss, Wife, Joan Voss, Sister, Norma Fredin, Father and Mother-in-Law, Leonard and Florence Latzke, Brothers-in-law, Donald Fredin and Mannie Bryant.
