Obituary

Jamie Ryan Roepke was born to Ron and Diane Doring in Hutchinson, MN, on June 30, 1979. Originally from Hutchinson, she later moved to Buffalo Lake where she officially grew up. At 20, she gave birth to her first two daughters with Mark Roepke, then at 24 having their youngest. She made a career for herself working in nursing homes for 14 years.

Her biggest passion in life was her children, she described them as the light in her world, her reason for life. She also loved having lake days, watching new movies, listening to her music, going camping and taking long drives with no destination. Many would describe her as fierce, courageous and knowing what she wants.

Jamie has struggled with many battles throughout her life, only signifying how strong she truly was. She was supported throughout these battles by family and friends, having fought her last battle with her children and father by her side.

Jamie is survived by her parents, Ron and Diane Doring; siblings, Wanda Smith and Angie Carl; half siblings, Michelle Leidholt and Sonny Doring; daughters, Alyssa Simmons, Vanessa and Rena Roepke; son-in-law, Travis Roepke; grandchildren, Ezekiel Roepke, Rose Ondracek, and Casper Roepke; along with many cousins, aunts and uncles.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Charles and Irene Yerks.

Dear Alyssa, Vanessa and Rena, My heart goes out to the three of you and all of the other members of Jamie’s family. I enjoyed my niece while she was young. Because we live farther away, I wasn’t able to see as often as an adult. She had a great smile and fun sense of humor. She is now free of pain and suffering. Aunt Beth and Uncle Paul Kuiken

Sending our sympathies to all. I always enjoyed Jamie as she was my daughter’s age. Gatherings were fun to see her. She just told me a few weeks ago she would drive by my house. Didn’t even know. So glad you are pain free. RIP sweetie! Hugs to your 3 daughters as they navigate without you! You loved them dearly!
