Service Information

Allen H. Mau, age 77, of Plato, Minnesota, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Friday, August 15, 2025, at his home.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025, 11:00 A.M., at the Johnson–McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe, Minnesota.

Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M., 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.

Obituary

Allen Harold Mau was born on July 7, 1948, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was the son of Harold and Betty (Stainbrook) Mau. Allen was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in his faith as a youth at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Almond, Wisconsin. Allen received his education in Plainfield, Wisconsin, and graduated from the Tri-County High School with the class of 1967.

On March 4, 1994, Allen was united in marriage to Toni Lynn Williams in Jordan, Minnesota. Together, they made their home in Jordan and later moved to Plato, Minnesota. With this union, they became a family of 8. The couple shared over 34 years together.

Allen was employed as a welder, a farmer, and a truck driver for many years. Allen retired in 2008.

Allen enjoyed going fishing. He also enjoyed mowing his lawn and providing upkeep on their family farm. He also enjoyed camping, relaxing on the lake, and going to the cabin. He looked forward to snuggles with his dog, Ollie. He cherished the time he spent with his family, including his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Allen passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025, at his home in Plato at the age of 77 years, 1 month, and 8 days. Blessed be his memory.

Allen is survived by his
Wife, Toni Lynn Mau of Plato, MN;
Children, Victoria Hitchcock and her husband, Richard, of St. Petersburg, FL, Nicole Riedel of Glencoe, MN, Richard Mau and his significant other, Stephanie Bestler of New Prague, MN;
Stepchildren, Noelle Williams of Belle Plaine, MN, Melissa Pasquarette of Norwood Young America, MN, Joseph Marschall of New Prague, MN;
11 Grandchildren;
6 Great-grandchildren;
Siblings, Janice Gustafson and her husband, Patrick, of Elgin, MN, Karen McClure of OK, Alvin Mau and his significant other, Debbie, of WI, David Mau and his wife, Cathy, of WI;
Nieces, Nephews, Other relatives, and Friends.

Allen was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Harold and Betty Mau; Sisters, Carol Scantlen and Judy (Chuck) Crawford.
