Obituary
Patricia Ann Lopez (Cerny), 79, of Hutchinson, died on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
Patty was born on April 5, 1946, in Newark, New Jersey, and was raised in Ship Bottom, New Jersey, by her beloved parents, William and Catherine Cerny (Weingartner). She spent her youth enjoying horseback riding with her sister and the beach life on Long Beach Island — memories she cherished throughout her life.
For the first 75 years of her life, Patty lived in New Jersey, where she lovingly raised her three children: Keith, Jason, and Corinne. In recent years, as her health declined, she moved to Hutchinson to be close to family.
Patricia held various service jobs throughout her life, but her favorite role was working as a school lunch aide at Oxycocus Elementary School in Manahawkin, New Jersey, where she touched the lives of countless children before retiring.
She had a love for the Philadelphia Flyers, the music of Rod Stewart and Queen, the hymn Amazing Grace, and she had a special passion for collecting dolls. More than anything, she loved spending time with her five granddaughters and staying connected with her many family members and lifelong friends.
Patty is survived by her devoted children: Keith Holley; Jason Lopez and his wife Janice; and Corinne Olcott and her husband Steve. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Danniella, Sydney, Amber, Clara, and Elizabeth; her great-granddaughter Kaia; and her sister, Nancy Driscoll. Although divorced, Patty shared a close and lasting friendship with her former husband, Frank Lopez.
God bless her memory.
