Service Information
Amanda K. Fast, age 45, of Plymouth, Minnesota, formerly of Hutchinson, Minnesota, daughter of Jim and Diane Fast, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson, with interment in St. Anastasia Catholic Cemetery in Hutchinson.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.
Obituary
Amanda Kay Fast was born on February 15, 1980, in Hutchinson, Minnesota. She was the daughter of James “Jim” and Diane (Stelten) Fast. Amanda was baptized as an infant on March 16, 1980, and later confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 21, 1996, both at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson. She received her education in Hutchinson, and was a graduate of the Hutchinson High School Class of 1998, where she participated on the basketball, cross country, and track team. Amanda furthered her education at Brown Institute in Mendota Heights, Minnesota, receiving her degree in visual communications.
Amanda resided in Plymouth, Minnesota, and was currently employed as an Accounts Receivable Lead with Rise Baking Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She had previously worked for 12 years at Sports Authority in Burnsville, Minnesota, and also CH Robbinson, in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
Amanda loved traveling, snowboarding, dancing, hanging out with friends, watching movies, and reading. She had traveled around the world, had been skydiving, loved volunteering, and participated in charity runs, and enjoyed everything Halloween. Amanda had a love for high heel shoes, big hoop earrings, hats, HIIT class at Anytime Fitness. She had a contagious laugh, bright smile that could fill the room with joy, and a loyal heart. Amanda was thoughtful and reliable, always showing up for everyone’s life events. She cherished spending time with her family and friends.
Amanda passed away surrounded by the love of her family and friends on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota, after emergent complications from a rare cancer.

Parents, Jim and Diane Fast of Hutchinson, MN;
Sister, Melissa Ketcher and her husband, Shad of Hutchinson, MN;
Brother, Shawn Fast and his wife, Mindy of Sauk Rapids, MN;
Nieces and Nephews, McKenzie Ketcher and her husband, Bennett Minnie, Grant Ketcher, Ellie Ketcher, Jackson Fast, and Nolan Fast;
Many other relatives and friends.
Amanda is preceded in death by her Grandparents, John and Grace Fast, and Lester and Evelyn Stelten; Several Aunts and Uncles.
The family would like to thank the staff at Abbott Northwestern Hospital for the care they provided to Amanda. Thank you to all who have supported us during this difficult time. Amanda will be missed dearly by many. She is now on the highest summit of peace and happiness with the most breath-taking view. God took one of the good ones way too early. Fly High Amanda!
