James “Jim” W. Klaustermeier was born in Watertown, Minnesota. He grew up in Lester Prairie, Minnesota, and it has been his lifelong home. He graduated from Lester Prairie High School in 1977. Following graduation, he farmed and worked at Medallion Cabinetry. He later worked at the Lester Prairie High School as a custodian. After retirement, Jim, not one to stay idle long, applied to work for McBride Funeral Chapels. Jim is a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie. He is very active in his church, ushering, helping out where he can, and has held many different positions on the church council over the years. Jim is an active member at the Lester Prairie Sportsmen’s Club. He enjoys playing for the church softball league, going for daily walks, and after retirement, he started playing dartball and loves it.
