Meissner, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe. She received her education in Glencoe and graduated with the Glencoe High School class of 1965. My sympathies.
Barb Rosebrock says
I am so saddened to hear of Delores passing. Was so glad I got to spend some time with her at our 60th class reunion in September.
Such a lovely lady will be missed.
Charleen Engelmann says
I was saddened to hear that my classmate and friend Delores had passed. Since Delores moved to Glenfields, it was truly a blessing to me to visit with her weekly and talk/laugh together. She was so excited last week, as her only sib/sister was coming to Glencoe for a visit and to have lunch with Delores that day.
Delores was a trooper. Even with her physical impairments, Delores was at every single reunion/gathering scheduled by the GHS Class of ’65, including our “Medicare party” (Class of ’65 turned ’65) and our 75th birthday party (Class of ’65 turned 75). She attended our last 60th reunion in September ~ she said afterwards what a wonderful time she had, and how glad she was that she had come.
Delores was a baptized, redeemed, forgiven and believing Child of God. We talked about many of our Lord’s promises, and I assured her that “He said it, and He will do it”.
Selfishly, I will miss visiting with Delores. For Delores, what a joy it must be for her to now be WALKING in her Lord’s presence!

You would never find a more sweet lady. Now she’s very happy, and she’s at home in heaven.
Cheryl Rich says
Dear family of Delores,
My prayers for your comfort and peace . Delores knew 2Timothy 4:7-8 .”I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord Jesus, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.” Delores we will see each other again at the big reunion in heaven.
