Service Information
Delores Ryberg, age 79, of Buffalo Lake, passed away Friday, February 5, 2016, at the Buffalo Lake Healthcare Center.
Memorial Service will be Saturday, February 13, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo Lake.
Interment will be in the Swedlanda Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.
Gathering of Friends and Family will be Friday, February 12, 2016, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo Lake and will continue for one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday.
Obituary
Delores Emma Ryberg was born July 27, 1936, in Lyons, South Dakota, the daughter of Roy and Nellie (Ostgaard) Wallin. She was baptized in a country church near Lyons as an infant. Delores’ family moved to the Buffalo Lake area in 1948 when she was in the 6th grade. She was confirmed in her faith at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo Lake, and graduated from the Buffalo Lake High School in 1954. Delores worked at the Medical Clinic in Hector before moving to Granite Falls to work.
On November 30, 1958, Delores was united in marriage to Gail Ryberg at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo Lake. They made their home in rural Hector prior to settling in rural Buffalo Lake. Four children blessed their marriage, Julie, James, Jon, and Joel. In addition to her role as a farm wife and mother, Delores worked outside the home. She was employed at CSI in Hector, then sold Tupperware for many years before she was employed, until retirement, at the Buffalo Lake Healthcare Center in the Laundry department.
Delores was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Buffalo Lake and spent many years active with the E.L.C.W. Delores enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, gardening, crocheting, and working crossword puzzles. Delores also liked to play cards and games with her family and friends, especially Farkle.
On Friday afternoon, February 5, 2016, Delores passed away at the Buffalo Lake Healthcare Center, having reached the age of 79 years. Blessed be her memory.

Grandchildren: Paul (Audrey) Ryberg, Rachel Ryberg, Tayler Ryberg, Kevin Ryberg, Belle Ryberg, Emmalee Ryberg, Anna Ryberg;
Great-Grandchildren: Brennan Ryberg, Luka Ryberg, James Ryberg;
Sisters: Ila Basel of Mound, Minnesota,
Fern (Russell) McCrimmon of Asheville, North Carolina,
Vandla (Larry) Peart of Lake Lillian, Minnesota;
Sister-in-law, Lavonne (Russell) Kandt of Buffalo Lake;
Brother-in-law, Howard (Marilyn) Ryberg of Buffalo Lake
Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
Delores was preceded in death by her Parents, Brother Richard Wallin, and Brother-in-law Everett Basel.
