Obituary
Larry Lee Tarr, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the age of 53.
Larry was born to Jean Tarr of Menno, South Dakota, on April 11, 1972. When Larry was one, they moved to Fort Pierre, South Dakota, and then, when he was five, they moved to Miller, South Dakota, where he began first grade. Larry was the only student to write his numbers to 1,000, which made the local newspaper. During Larry’s middle school years, he loved to play basketball and football, and from a very young age, he was a devoted Miami Dolphins fan. When Larry was starting high school, they moved to Pierre, South Dakota, to attend the Hope Reform Christian Academy, where he met Jenny Labau. They were married on December 24, 1990. From this union, they had a daughter, Jourdan and later a grandson, Maddox. Larry and Jenny moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and then to Hutchinson, Minnesota. Larry worked at Hutchinson Technology for 28 years. On November 16, 2015, Larry married Kanjana in Thailand and later in the States. They had a son, Korawit. During this time, Larry went back to school to earn his master’s in engineering and was employed at 3M for the past four years, where he was greatly valued for his expertise with the equipment. Larry was a hard worker his whole life; he enjoyed his work and wanted to provide for his family. He was a selfless person, always ready to help others and would give his last dollar if someone needed it. Larry loved the Lord and was baptized in the summer of 2015.
To mourn his loss, survivors include Kanjana, his wife of 11 years; son Korawit; daughter Jourdan; grandson Maddox; mother Jean Tarr; siblings Marc Tarr, Laurie Gross, Mona (Bill) Schultz, and many nieces and nephews.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
