Phyllis A. Kube-Crawford, age 73, of Arlington, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Golden Hearts in Arlington, Minnesota.
Private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Obituary
Phyllis Ann Kube-Crawford was born on October 5, 1952, in Glencoe, Minnesota, to Melvin and Lois (Kurtzweg) Kube. She attended St. John's Lutheran School and graduated from Arlington-Green Isle High School in 1970.
Following graduation, Phyllis began her career in accounting at Brownton State Bank, later Security Bank & Trust Company. She went on to serve the Sibley East Public Schools in Arlington, Minnesota, where she worked in bookkeeping and accounting until her retirement in 2012. Through her dedication, kindness, and attention to detail, she earned the respect and friendship of many colleagues throughout the years.
On August 18, 2001, Phyllis married the love of her life, Lawrence Crawford, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Arlington. Together they shared many happy years filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Phyllis found great joy in spending time with her family and friends. She loved playing cards, cooking and baking for those she loved, attending organ recitals with Lawrence, and collecting dolls and antiques. Her warm heart, gentle spirit, and thoughtful nature touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
She is lovingly survived by her sister, Wanda (Hal) Jaster of St. Peter; her brothers, James (Bonnie) Kube of Arlington, Gary (Linda) Kube of Norwood Young America, David (Kari) Kube of Norwood Young America, Timothy (Juanita) Kube of Arlington, and Gregory (Penny) Kube of Norwood Young America; many nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and numerous friends and extended family members who will miss her dearly.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Lawrence; her parents, Melvin and Lois; several aunts and uncles; and her nephew, William Kube.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff of Golden Hearts and Ridgeview Hospice for the compassion, dignity, and exceptional care they provided to Phyllis during her final days.
Phyllis will be remembered for her love of family, her generous heart, her quiet strength, and the kindness she shared with others. She will be deeply missed and forever treasured by all who knew and loved her.
