Darlene Heuer, age 80, of Lester Prairie, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at her home in Lester Prairie, Minnesota.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 6, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at the Paul-McBride Funeral Chapel in Lester Prairie, Minnesota, with interment following at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Lester Prairie, Minnesota.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 6, 2016, from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M., one hour prior the service at the chapel.
Obituary
Darlene Magdalene Heuer was born on September 16, 1935, in Victor Township, Wright County, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Otto and Esther (Schroeder) Heuer. Darlene was baptized as an infant on November 3, 1935, by Rev. C. G. Seltz at St. James Lutheran Church in Howard Lake, Minnesota, and was later confirmed in her faith on June 30, 1983, by Rev. Charles R. Wind at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie, Minnesota. She received her education at the Minneapolis School for the Deaf.
Darlene made her home on the family farm in Howard Lake, Minnesota, and then in the 1970’s moved to Lester Prairie, Minnesota. Over the years, Darlene took care of her parents and did cleaning for others. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie, Minnesota.
Darlene enjoyed sewing, needlework, crossword puzzles and tending her flower garden. She loved the companionship of her dogs and always took special care of them. Darlene valued caring for others and friendships she had in the deaf community.
Darlene passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at her home in Lester Prairie, Minnesota, at the age of 80 years, 7 months and 17 days.

Darlene is preceded in death by her Parents, Otto and Esther Heuer; Special Friend, Orville Heldt.
