Delores Exstedt, age 90, of Watertown, Minnesota, and formerly of Norwood Young America, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Elim Nursing Home in Watertown, Minnesota.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015, 11:00 A.M. at Paul-McBride Funeral Chapel in Norwood Young America, Minnesota, with interment following at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Norwood Young America, Minnesota.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Friday, November 13, 2015, from 10:00-11:00 A.M., one hour prior the service at the chapel.
Obituary
Delores Louise Martha (Zellmann) Exstedt was born on April 15, 1925, in Young America, Minnesota. She was the daughter of August H. and Minni (Hedtke) Zellmann. Delores was baptized as an infant on April 26, 1925, by Rev. M. F. Abraham in Young America, Minnesota, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 2, 1939, by Rev. W. P. Kramer at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America, Minnesota. She received her education in Norwood Young America, Minnesota, attending St. John’s Parochial School and graduating with the Central High School Class of 1943.
On October 2, 1948, Delores was united in marriage to Hilton Clarence Exstedt by Rev. W. P. Kramer at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America, Minnesota. Delores and Hilton made their home in Norwood Young America, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Sandra and Mark. In 1980, Delores moved to the Heartland Retirement Center in Plato, Minnesota, and in 1993, moved to the Parnell Street Board and Care in Green Isle, Minnesota. In 2004, she became a resident at the Westwood Place in Watertown, Minnesota, until she entered the Elim Home in Watertown in November of 2008. Delores and Hilton shared over 29 years of marriage together until Hilton was killed in an automobile accident on November 21, 1977.
In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Delores was a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America, Minnesota. Delores enjoyed embroidering and visiting with relatives and friends.
Delores passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at Elim Nursing Home in Watertown, Minnesota, at the age of 90 years, 6 months and 22 days.

Daughter, Sandra Pagel of Monticello, MN;
Son, Mark Exstedt of Phoenix, AZ;
Grandchildren, James and Randall Wessbecker, Adam and Chris Exstedt;
Great Grandchildren, Erica, Samantha, Sophia, Reed, Remington and Blake Wessbecker;
Several nieces and nephews.
Delores is preceded in death by her Parents, August and Minni Zellmann; Husband, Hilton Exstedt; Son-In-Law, Jerome Pagel; Brothers, Oscar, Edgar and Fern Zellmann; Sister, Rodella and Waldo Manteuffel.
