Service Information
Eileen Moehring, age 90, of Biscay, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015, at Elim Nursing Home in Watertown, Minnesota.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 7, 2015, 11:00 A.M. at St. John's Church in Hassan Valley Township, Biscay, Minnesota, with interment following at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 6, 2015, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe, Minnesota, and will continue one hour prior the service at the church on Saturday.
Obituary
Eileen Erna (Rannow) Moehring was born on February 23, 1925, in Glencoe, Minnesota. She was the daughter of George and Freida (Jungclaus) Rannow. Eileen was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith as a youth both at St. John’s Church in Biscay. She grew up on a farm just outside of Biscay with sisters, Doris, Donna and Marlys and brother, Maynard. She really enjoyed the farm life and spoke about it with joy throughout her life. Eileen received her education in Hutchinson, Minnesota, graduating from Hutchinson High School.
On May 19, 1946, Eileen was united in marriage to Glen Moehring at St. John’s Church. The couple made their home in Biscay for over 50 years. Eileen and Glen’s marriage was blessed with one son, Larry. They shared over 57 years of marriage before Glen passed away on December 24, 2003. In 2009, Eileen became a resident at Elim Nursing Home in Watertown.
Eileen was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Church, a member of the Country Dutchman fan club and an avid polka fan. Eileen did commercial baking for any and all occasions and was a cook for the Head start program in McLeod County. She very much enjoyed the children and the activity with that job. Eileen developed a talent for art consisting of coloring and painting many, many beautiful pictures and other craft pieces that she freely gave to any and all visitors. She was also the resident day brightener there and her cheerful attitude touched many people. Eileen was feisty and active right up until the time she suffered a stroke on October 21, 2015.
Eileen went to join Glen and the Lord on October 31, 2015, at Elim Nursing Home in Watertown, Minnesota, at the age of 90 years, 8 months and 8 days. Eileen’s family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Elim and Dr. Scott Jensen of Watertown and Pastor Robert Taylor for the excellent care given and compassion and respect shown to Eileen in her final days.

Donna Baumann of Edina, MN;
Nephews, Nieces, Other relatives and many friends.
Eileen is preceded in death by her Parents, George and Freida Rannow; Husband, Glen Moehring; Sister, Doris Bren.
