LeRoy O. Schlueter

Obituary

LeRoy Otto Schlueter was born on May 5, 1939, in Hutchinson, Minnesota. He was the son of Otto and Ida (Ewald) Schlueter. LeRoy was baptized as an infant on June 5, 1939, and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth on May 24, 1953, both at St. John’s Lutheran Church. LeRoy received his education at St. John’s Lutheran School through the 8^th grade.

LeRoy resided and farmed in Cedar Mills Township, Meeker County, Minnesota, his entire life.  He retired from farming in 2001.

LeRoy enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a very talented wood worker. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, was a caretaker of the church cemetery, a church greeter and held many other church offices.  LeRoy was also a member of the Cedar Mills Township Board, the Creamery Board and was a member of the Cedar Mills Rod & Gun Club.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Sisters, Lorene Flemming of Hutchinson, MN,
              Verna Schiro and her husband, Donald of Cosmos, MN;
Many other Nieces and Nephews, Great Nieces, Great Nephews and many other relatives and friends.

LeRoy is preceded in death by his Parents, Otto and Ida Schlueter, Sisters, Delores Kohls, Irene Hoff; Brothers-In-Law, Elmer Hoff, Clifford Kohls, Merrill Flemming; Nephew, James Flemming.
