Obituary

Bennett Gavin Scharmer was born on September 19th, 2015 at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. He spent the first month of his life in the NICU and then moved home with his parents. Bennett was baptized on November 29th, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo Lake.

Bennett's favorite thing to do was cuddle with his mom and dad. His year of adventures included camping, swimming, going to work with Dad, farmers markets with Mom, visiting the petting zoo, enjoying many wagon rides, and spending time with all of his family. He loved listening to music, evading Mom's kisses, and rewarding many with his beautiful smiles. Bennett spent many days in the hospital at Children's and found even more loved ones there in the doctors and nurses who cared for him.

Bennett passed away on October 4th, 2016 at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis after blessing his parents with a wonderful year of life.

Bennett is survived by his Parents Nathan and Kara Scharmer, Grandparents Barry and Nancy Houchin and Kent and Janet Scharmer, Aunts and Uncles Anna and Aaron Blake, Karissa and Neal Eaton, Cassie Scharmer and Brent Zuhlsdorf, Cousins Ashton and Ava Blake, Great-Grandparents Shirley Remillard and Kermit Erickson, and many other family members and friends.

Bennett was welcomed into heaven by his brother Gavin Scharmer, and Great-Grandparents Les and Elizabeth Bullert, Roy and Florence Scharmer, Donald Houchin, and Charlotte Erickson.
