Obituary

Jasmyn Eva Artz was born sleeping on October 31, 2016. She is the daughter of Justin and Holly (Sparks) Artz . She was baptized at Ridgeview Hospital by Rev. Dr. Peter Meier. Justin and Holly had a miracle. They experienced the wonderful anticipation of a child, got to hear the heartbeat of a new life, saw the ultrasound pictures of their child, and felt the movement of an active baby. They shared their excitement and anticipation with family and friends who started loving this baby even though none of us had even met her yet.

Jasmyn went on many trips, she traveled with Mom and Dad to South Dakota, Indiana and Michigan to visit great grandma. She went camping, to the zoo to see the animals with grandma and grandpa, attended her Hawaiian themed grandparents 40th wedding anniversary. She got to go apple picking and meet her extended family at the family reunion.

Jasmyn had a personality even though she had a very short time to express it during her prenatal development. That is an experience that a father and mother never forget; an opportunity to feel connected to the life growing within her mother. She had tiny fingers, feet and toes that will never be forgotten. On the day of her birth Jasmyn’s parents were able to hold her and say good-bye. Jasmyn took a piece of our hearts with her to heaven.

Jasmyn was born sleeping on Monday, October 31, 2016, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia, Minnesota.

Blessed be her memory.

Jasmyn is survived by her:
Parents, Justin and Holly of Carver, MN;
Grandparents, David and Janice Sparks of Chaska, MN, John and Janice Artz of Pierre, SD;
Great Grandmother, Eva Sparks of Livonia, MI;
Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins, Greg and Sarah Sparks (Allison) of Gilberts, IL, Tim and Sarah Sparks (Kalle, Tyler, Chelsea) of Shakopee, MN, Heather and Aaron Bonfig (Kyra, Kelton) of Shakopee, MN;

Jasmyn is preceded in death by her Great Grandparents, Eva and Gordon Robinson, George Sparks, Harlan and Eunice Alter, John and Elizabeth Artz.

    Holly and Justine,
    I am still at a loss for words. Jasmyn was a beautiful baby. Allison really likes the yellow rose and “in memory” bracelet. On Sunday Allison wanted to look at Jasmyn’s picture for the first time. We talked about how to remember her. We also talked about why and how Jasmyn would come to like fish. Allison said that she can play with Fishy (our late gold fish) in heaven. We have a spent a few minutes every day talking about her, today we talked about that Jasmyn is still Allison’s cousin even though she is not with us. I hope and pray in time you will be able to find some peace in this dark time.
    Love Greg, Sarah, and Allison

    Dearest Holly, I know how excited you and Justin were. I was so happy for you. Now I share your loss. I feel so badly for you. Jasmyn is so pretty in her picture. Thank you for posting the picture to share with us. You are very much in my thoughts. Pat (from Walgreens in Waconia)
