Service Information
Susie Martin, age 55, wife of Dale Martin, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014, at her home in Cosmos.
Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at 3:30 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Cosmos, with interment in the Church Cemetery.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Tuesday from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Cosmos, and will continue for one hour prior to the Service at the Church on Wednesday.
Obituary
Susan Renae Martin was born February 3, 1959, in Waconia, Minnesota, the daughter of Donald and Marjorie (Nelson) Danielson. While growing up, she lived and went to school in California and Hawaii, until her family moved to Cosmos, Minnesota. Susie graduated with the Class of 1978 from the Cosmos High School. She was baptized as an adult at Peace Lutheran Church in Cosmos.
On September 30, 1978, Susie was united in marriage to Dale Martin. They made their home in Cosmos, and were blessed with two sons, Roney and Ray. For her work at Cedar Crest in Cosmos, Susie received medical training, and worked there as a Certified Nurse Assistant and Trained Medication Aide. She was currently working as the Activity Director for Cedar Crest.
Susie was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Cosmos. She was a member of the Cosmos Lions Club, and also the Cosmos Legion Auxiliary.
Susie was a crafter and a quilter. She made many quilts for her family, which will be treasured. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and baking, and liked to go camping. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
On Saturday morning, September 20, 2014, Susie passed away at her home surrounded by family. She had reached the age of 55 years, 7 months, 17 days. Blessed be her memory.

Brothers: Steven Danielson (Sheila) of Detroit Lakes, Keith Danielson (Kathy) of Cosmos, and
Lee Danielson (friend Nora) of Cosmos;
Mother-in-law Aldora Martin of Cosmos;
Sister-in-law Stacey Danielson of Detroit Lakes;
Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law: Don Martin (Sandy) of Cosmos, Marilyn Duenow (Terry) of Green Leaf, Duane Martin (Yvette) of Cosmos, Mary Lou Mellies (Charles) of Burnsville;
Nieces, Nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Susan was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Ray and Beda Nelson, and Ella and Sigwald Danielson, Parents, Donald and Marge Danielson; Brother Bruce Danielson; Father-in-law Clarence Martin, and by her Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law, Dan and Jo Martin.
