Donald George Jungclaus, age 88, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019, at his home in Glencoe.
Memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2019, 11:00 A.M. at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, Minnesota, with interment following at the church cemetery.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2019, from 10:00-11:00 A.M., one hour prior the service at the church.
Obituary
Donald George Jungclaus was born February 15, 1931, in Glencoe, Minnesota. He was the son of Walter and Olga (Duenow) Jungclaus. Donald was baptized as an infant on March 15, 1931, by Rev. E. Kolbe and later was confirmed in his faith as a youth on May 20, 1945, by Rev. A. Streufert both at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, Minnesota. Donald received his education in Glencoe, Minnesota, attending District #60 country school thru the 8th grade and then graduating with the Stevens Seminary Class of 1949. He entered active military service in the United States Air Force on May 1, 1951, and served his country during the Korean Conflict and stationed at Radar Station in Wadena, Minnesota. Donald received an Honorable Discharge on November 3, 1952.
On June 14, 1952, Donald was united in marriage to Doris Jeanette Aho by Rev. R.W. Heikkinen at Grace Lutheran Church in Sebeka, Minnesota. Donald and Doris made their home in Glencoe, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with four children, Debra, Pamela, Timothy and Steven. Donald and Doris shared over 67 years of marriage.
Donald worked as a lineman for McLeod Coop Power for 30 years retiring in 1992. He was a lifelong active member at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, Minnesota.
Donald enjoyed hunting and fishing for walleye during the summer and winter. He also loved the fishing trips to Canada and the yearly family vacations at a cabin in northern Minnesota. Donald enjoyed the time spent with his family and friends.
Donald passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 11, 2019, at his home in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 88 years, 4 months and 26 days.

Donald was preceded in death by his Parents, Walter and Olga Jungclaus; Brother, Vernon Jungclaus and his wife, Marilou; Sister, Ruth Neubauer.
