Service Information

Milton Leske, age 104, of Hutchinson, formerly Buffalo Lake, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019, at the Ecumen Pines in Hutchinson.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020, at 11:00 A.M. at Zion United Methodist Church in Buffalo Lake with interment in the Zion Evangelical Cemetery in Buffalo Lake.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020, from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at Zion United Methodist Church in Buffalo Lake.

Obituary

Milton Cyrus Leske was born on September 4, 1915, in Grafton Township, Sibley County, Minnesota. He was the son of Emil and Ida (Ebent) Leske. Milton was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth. He received his education at the Grafton Country School through the 8th grade.

On May 6, 1939, Milton was united in marriage to Laura Elizabeth Radloff in Watertown, South Dakota. This marriage was blessed with one son, Gary. Milton and Laura resided in Grafton Township and Buffalo Lake. Milton later moved to Hutchinson, Minnesota. They shared 44 years of marriage until Laura passed away on December 12, 1983.

Milton was employed as a Grader operator at Renville County until he retired on December 28, 1979. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Buffalo Lake.

Milton enjoyed watching western shows on T.V., fishing, and puzzles. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren, and friends.

Milton became a resident at the Ecumen Pines in Hutchinson in July of 2005. He passed away there on Sunday, December 29, 2019, at the age of 104 years. Blessed be his memory.

Milton is survived by his:
Grandchildren, Natalie Leske of Chippewa Falls, WI,
Kathy Huffman and her husband, Tim, of Andover, MN;
Great-Grandchildren, Lauren Huffman, Josiah Huffman, Jonah Leske-Oppedahl, and
Madeline Leske-Oppedahl;
Nephew, Darrel Leske and his wife, Ann, of Buffalo Lake, MN;
Daughter-in-law, Karen (Haas) Leske of Coon Rapids, MN;
Many other relatives and friends.

Milton is preceded in death by his Parents, Emil and Ida Leske; Wife, Laura Leske; Son, Gary Leske; Siblings, Reinart Leske, Sylvia Stueber, Laura Burgstahler, Agnes Mueller, Ervin Leske, Harold Leske, and Doris Carrigan.

    Milton was such a special person. I met him years ago when he first moved to Hutch and he would come to the Mall where I worked at Carr Flowers and we would chat. He also was friends with the people at B James clothing store. Whenever we would run into each other out and about, he always remembered me. My sympathy to his family.
