Arnold Paul Burdorf

Obituary

Arnold Paul Burdorf was born on April 26, 1934 in Helen Township, Minnesota.  He was the son of Paul and Helen (Albers) Burdorf.  Arnold was baptized as an infant on May 6, 1934, and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth on March 21, 1948, both at Emanuel Lutheran Church in rural Hamburg, Minnesota.  He received his education at Emanuel Lutheran Parochial School in rural Hamburg, Minnesota, thru the 8^th grade.

On October 10, 1970, Arnold was united in marriage to Sandra “Groothuis” Dyrssen at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Bird Island, Minnesota.  Arnold and Sandra made their home in Plato, Minnesota.  Their marriage was blessed with four children, Wendy, Debbie, Lori and Brenda.  Arnold and Sandra shared over 49 years of marriage.

Arnold worked as a punch press operator at Tonka Toys in Mound, R&M Manufacturing in St. Louis Park and Seneca in Glencoe, Minnesota.  He was a lifelong member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in rural Hamburg, Minnesota.

Arnold enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, attending trashing shows and tinkering with cars.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Arnold passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at the Good Samaritan Society in Waconia, Minnesota, at the age of 86 years, 2 months and 19 days.
