Obituary
Mary Ann June (Center) Forcier was born on June 5, 1948, in Glencoe, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Hollis and Agnes (Moravec) Center. Mary Ann was baptized and confirmed at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Glencoe, where she was a faithful member for 72 years. She graduated from Glencoe High School in 1966.
On July 20, 1974, Mary Ann and Vernon Forcier were joined in marriage at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Glencoe. Along with two children from her previous marriage, their marriage was blessed with four more children. Mary Ann and Vernon shared over 46 years of marriage.
Mary Ann was a lifelong farmer at heart from milking cows to raising chickens for fresh farm eggs to name a few, and any animal out there she would raise them. She has worked many odd jobs while farming but retired from the McLeod County Chronicle after 30+ years. Mary Ann and her husband also volunteered their time with Fare for All for over 30+ years.
Mary Ann was always kind and had time for everybody and anybody. She had a heart of gold. Mary Ann loved life and was always happy, smiling and socializing. She enjoyed traveling, gift shops, taking pictures on disposable cameras, playing Bingo and country western music. Mary Ann loved attending casinos, Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, Sherwin Linton concerts, Laura Ingalls Wilder museum in Walnut Grove, poultry parties and garage sales. She also loved camping and cabin time being remembered as the last one to leave the bon fire no matter what time. Mary Ann cherished her family and grandchildren, so the holidays and parties spent playing cards with her family were very special.
