Service Information

Sherri R. Reiner, age 65, of rural Stewart, Minnesota, wife of Jay, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020, at her home in rural Stewart.

Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020, from 1:00 – 4:00 P.M., at the Oscar Olson Park, 1400 Union Ave N, Glencoe, MN 55336.  

Memorials are preferred to the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 125 in Stewart.

Obituary

Sherri Rae Reiner was born on May 31, 1955, in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Wendell and Ida (Morris) King. Sherri was baptized as an infant at the Methodist Church in St. Paul. She received her education in St. Paul, and was a graduate of the North High School Class of 1973.

On June 26, 2010, Sherri was united in marriage to Jay Reiner at their home on the farm in rural Stewart. This marriage was united with four children, Amy, Angela, Kevin and Coral. Sherri and Jay resided on their farm in rural Stewart and shared 10 years of marriage.

Sherri was employed as a daycare provider for more than ten years. She was also employed as a cook at the Straw Hat in Buffalo Lake, Minnesota, and the American Legion Post 96 in Hutchinson, Minnesota. Sherri was also employed at Casey’s in Hutchinson. She retired in 2009.

Sherri enjoyed sewing, crocheting, playing board games, and traveling. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and friends.

Sherri passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020, at her home in rural Stewart, at the age of 65 years.

Husband, Jay Reiner, of Stewart, MN;
Children, Angela Gorath and her husband, Trevor, of Farmington, MN,
                Kevin Swanlund and his wife, Angie, of Eagan, MN,
                Coral Swanlund and her husband, George Vatafu, of Burnsville, MN;
Step-Daughter, Amy DaSilva and her husband, Gilivan, of Murdock, MN;
Grandchildren, Andrew Gorath, Veda Gorath, Liv Vatafu, Emre Vatafu, Macksyn Swanlund, and Marsdyn Swanlund;
Step-Grandchildren, Adriana DaSilva and Fabiana DaSilva;
Siblings, Jeff King and his wife, Kay, of Pueblo West, CO,
                Brad King of Alexandria, MN,
                Jodi King of Hutchinson, MN;
Sister-In-Law, Atsuko King of Sand Diego, CA;
Many other relatives and friends.

Sherri is preceded in death by her Parents, Wendell and Ida King; Brother, Scott King; and Half Brother, Tracy King.

    Sherri my old friend, may u be at peace & now reside in ur own lil piece of paradise. I love u dearly. Ill miss u always. Keep the fire burning!

    Uve been on my mind regularly for more than quite awhile… And even w time, I still miss u like the Krazy Ol Ladies we were… (like way more than I love double dutch chocolate hazelnut candies).
