Janice Tifft, age 95, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020, at Grand Meadows Senior Living in Glencoe, Minnesota.

Obituary
Janice Yvonne (Bomm) Tifft was born on August 6, 1925, in Sibley County, Winthrop, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Ansel Wallace and Esther V. (Trotzig) Bomm. Janice was baptized as an infant and later was confirmed in her faith as a youth. She received her education in Winthrop, Minnesota, graduating from Winthrop High School with the Class of 1943.
Janice met Donald Cyril Tifft at Lake Marion ballroom and they were united in marriage on May 26, 1949, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with four children, Patti, Douglas, Kerri and David. Janice and Donald were together four months short of 70 years, when Donald passed away on January 18, 2019.
In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Janice was a homemaker. Janice and Donald moved many times in the early years. In 1966, they moved their family to Donald’s hometown of Glencoe. She was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church in Glencoe.
Janice enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, boating fishing and reading. Janice and Donald took several winter trips and a trip to Hawaii after Donald’s retirement. Christmas was always at their house up until they moved into Grand Meadows.
Janice passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020, at Grand Meadows Senior Living in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 95 years, 2 months and 18 days. Blessed be her memory.

Children, Patti Jahn and her husband, Bruce, of Cloquet, MN,
Douglas Tifft of Hopkins, MN,
Kerri Kautz and her husband, Michael, of Dayton, MN,
David Tifft of Hutchinson, MN;
7 Grandchildren, Sara Aulia and her husband, Denny, Matthew Jahn and his wife, Tonya, Zachary Jahn, Angela Olson and her husband, Brady, Breanna Kruse and her husband, Alex, Samuel Tifft and his wife, Corrine, Joseph Tifft;
4 Great Grandchildren and one to be born in November;
Other relatives and many friends.
Janice is preceded in death by her Parents, Ansel and Esther Bomm; Husband, Donald Tifft; Father-In-Law & Mother-In-Law, Samuel and Edna Tifft; Brother, John Bomm; Sister, Shirley Petersen and her husband, Russell; Brother-In-Law, Lowell Tifft and his wife, Maureen.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff who so livingly cared for our mother at Grand Meadows and St. Croix Hospice Care.

Janice holds a special place in my many happy memories of family get-togethers, and times we could be with Janice and Don.
It was so lovely to be able to celebrate one of their later anniversaries with your family a few years ago.
