Amy J. Hansen, age 86, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Services will be held at a later date.
Obituary
Amy Josephine Carlson was born on February 10, 1934 to Hilmer and Myrtle Carlson in Dunn Center, North Dakota. Amy graduated from Maplewood Academy in the spring of 1953. She then attended Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska, studying to be a nurse.
On December 4, 1955, Amy was married to Dean Hansen. They were blessed with four children, Gerald (who passed in infancy), Darrell, Verla and Calvin. Amy and Dean lived in Hutchinson following their marriage.
Dean being a house/shed construction builder; Amy helped with the painting and finishing of the houses, she had an artistic eye for such. Amy then worked at 3M for 35 years. Amy was also an excellent homemaker. Amy and Dean helped raise their two grandchildren, Justin and Kayla Taylor Willis.
Amy passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the age of 86 years.

Husband of 65 years, Dean Hansen of Hutchinson, MN;
Daughter, Verla Taylor and her husband, Phylardis Taylor, of Hutchinson, MN;
Son, Calvin Hansen and his wife, Angie, of California;
Grandchildren, Justin and Kayla of Hutchinson, MN;
Brothers-In-Law, Charles Cowell of Medfor, MN,
Allen Hansen of Tennessee,
Ab Willis of Coon Rapids, MN;
Many other relatives and friends.
Amy is preceded in death by her Parents, Hilmer and Myrtle Carlson; Sons, Gerald and Darrell; Sisters, Beulah Cowell and Luella Harris; Brothers-In-Law, Dallas Hansen and Joe (Alvin) Hansen.
