Roy Bach, age 70, of Lester Prairie, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Obituary
Roy Glen Bach was born on May 20, 1950, in Gaylord, Minnesota. He was the son of Roy August and Della (Muehlhausen) Bach. Roy was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in his faith as a youth both at St. Paul’s E&R Church in Henderson, Minnesota. He received his education in Henderson, Minnesota, graduating with the Henderson High School Class of 1968. Roy furthered his education by attending Mankato Vocational School to earn an associate degree in fluid power technology and continued his education working toward a B.A. degree. Roy entered active military service in the United States Army National Guard on October 27, 1969. He was in active duty training from February 4, 1970 until June 12, 1970 and received an Honorable Discharge on October 26, 1975.
On October 19, 1974, Roy was united in marriage to Jane Birkholz by Pastor David Martens at Evangelical United Church of Christ in Lester Prairie, Minnesota. Roy and Jane made their home in Lester Prairie, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Nathan and Kali. Roy and Jane shared over 46 years of marriage.
Roy worked most of his career in the Expandable Polystyrene Business with PolyFoam, Inc., Plymouth Foam and Plasti-Fab as a plant manager. He was an active member of Prairie Community Church in Lester Prairie. As his ministry to the church, Roy served on the church council. He also served the community as a member of the Lester Prairie Volunteer Fire Department for 20+ years and was an active member and past President of the Eagle Lake, Lake Association.
Roy’s true passion was his family. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and being with family and friends. Roy loved golfing, traveling, woodworking, grilling and spending time and working on projects at the cabin. He also loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, downhill skiing and motorcycling.
Roy passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the age of 70 years, 6 months and 15 days.

Just learned of “Junior’s” death. Growing up across the field, I only knew Roy as “Junior” till years later. We’d visit each other’s places to build tunnels in the hay barn with bales, attach motors to peddle bikes, play ball, etc. Lots of great memories.
