Service Information
Lori J. Swezey, age 63, of rural Hector, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021, at St. Cloud Hospital.
Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hector.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 8:30 – 11:00 A.M., two- and one-half hours prior to the service, all at church.
Masks are required and social distancing guidelines will be followed.
Obituary
Lori Jean Swezey was born on October 20, 1957, in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Kenneth and Pauline (Ryan) Hess. Lori was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth, both at United Methodist Church in Fairfax, Minnesota. She received her education in Fairfax and was a graduate of the Fairfax High School Class of 1976. Lori furthered her education for one year at the Vocational Technical school in Hutchinson, Minnesota.
On August 1, 1998, Lori was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Swezey at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hector, Minnesota. Lori and Bob resided in rural Hector and shared 23 years of marriage.
Lori was employed in various heath care positions. She was a very hard worker and loved what she did. Lori was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hector.
Lori had a special place in her heart for dogs and horses. She enjoyed flower gardening, shopping for clothes, cooking, baking and swimming. She taught her nieces and nephews how to swim. Lori was an avid reader and was a very generous and giving person. She always remembered everyone’s birthday. Lori was looking forward to future travel plans. Her goal was to go to Hawaii on her 65th birthday.
Lori passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021, at St. Cloud Hospital, at the age of 63 years.

Her Dogs, Buddy, Ottis, Miles, and Coco;
Grand-Dog, Rosie;
Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Lori is preceded in death by her Parents, Kenneth and Pauline Hess; Brother, Ronnie Hess; Sister, Baby Girl Hess; and Father-In-Law and Mother-In-Law, Harold and Ruth Swezey.

I remember working with Lori at bmnh years ago She was always caring. I think I washer favorite nurse and Sara you should be proud of the way she loved you
