Jeffrey Berskow, age 64, husband of Joy, of New London, Minnesota, formerly of Winthrop passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021, at St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 23, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 9:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop.
Military Honors by the Winthrop Honor Guard.
Memorials preferred to your local Veterans Association.
Obituary
Jeffrey Marvin Berskow was born on March 5, 1957, in Tyler, Minnesota. He was the son of Glen and Muriel (Bergan) Berskow. Jeff was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth. He was a graduate of the Class of 1976.
On April 5, 1975, Jeff was united in marriage to Joy Jacobson in Salem, South Dakota. Jeff and Joy shared 46 wonderful years of marriage. They were blessed with four children, Jamie, Jessie, Jayson and Jenae. Jeff was employed at CenturyLink, retiring in March of 2019.
On December 15, 1975, Jeff entered active military service in the United States Air Force. He received the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award and the Expert Marksmanship Ribbon. Jeff was Honorably Discharged on August 14, 1980, having achieved the rank of Sergeant.
Jeff enjoyed woodworking, tinkering, going to his grandchildren’s sports, bossing around Alexa and listening to music. He cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
Jeff passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021, surrounded by his family at the age of 64. Blessed be his memory.

Children, Jamie Berskow and special friend, Holli Rath and her children Audrey and Ellie of Willmar, MN,
Jessie Lauwagie and husband, Mitch of Park Rapids, MN,
Jayson Berskow and special friend, Andrea Wortz of Gibbon, MN,
Jenae Berskow and special friend, Alex Johnson of Minneapolis, MN,
Amy Berskow special family friend;
Grandchildren, Landon Lauwagie, Abby Berskow, Carlie Berskow, Addison Lauwagie, Lucas Lauwagie;
Sisters, Gwen Visger and husband, John of Shakopee, MN, and Donna Mattison and husband Mike of Winthrop, MN;
Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jeff was preceded in death by his Parents, Glen and Muriel Berskow; Sister, Kathy Chamberlin; Father-in-law, Loyd Jacobson; Brother and Sister in infancy.

I recall with fondness how much your family loved my new pizza recipe at the Cruise-In and also being on stage with you in The Front Page in New Ulm…you were terrific.
