Dorothy Mae Grimm, age 92, of Norwood Young America, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021, at The Haven in Norwood Young America, Minnesota.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America, Minnesota with interment following at the Church Cemetery in Norwood Young America, Minnesota.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021, 9:30-11:00 A.M., at the church.

Obituary
Dorothy Mae Grimm was born on August 28, 1929, in Woodland Township, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Floyd and Ella (Wachholz) Fabel. Dorothy was baptized as an infant on September 29, 1929, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Watertown, Minnesota and later confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 18, 1943, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America. Dorothy received her education in Norwood Young America, Minnesota and was a graduate with the Central High School Class of 1947 and furthered her education in St. Cloud, graduating in 1949 with a teaching degree from St Cloud State Teacher’s College.
On June 5, 1954, Dorothy was united in marriage to Donald Grimm at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America. Dorothy and Donald made their home in Young America Township where they farmed. In 1985 Dorothy and Donald retired from farming and moved to their home in Hamburg. They shared 44 years of marriage together before Donald passed away on June 1,1999.
Dorothy was a 5th grade teacher in Lakefield, Belle Plaine, and Two Harbors before joining her husband on the farm. She enjoyed baking cookies, gardening, reading, and embroidering pillowcases, dish towels and baby blankets for the great-grandchildren. Faith, family and portals of prayer were very important to her. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Dorothy passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at The Haven in Norwood Young America, Minnesota at the age of 92 years. Blessed be her memory.
