Service Information
Dorothy M. Voigt, age 84, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022, at Glencoe Regional Health.
Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 18, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe with interment in the church cemetery.
Gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, March 17, 2022, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe and will continue on Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Obituary
Dorothy Mae Voigt was born on March 18, 1937, in Arlington, Minnesota. She was the daughter of William and Johanna (Wallert) Rosenfeld. Dorothy was baptized as an infant on April 4, 1937, by Pastor R. Heidemann and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 2, 1950, by Pastor John G. Bradtke, both at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington, Minnesota. She received her education in Arlington and was a graduate of the Arlington-Green Isle High School class of 1954.
On May 4, 1957, Dorothy was united in marriage to Maynard Voigt at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington, by Pastor John G. Bradtke. After their marriage, the couple resided in California for a short time when Maynard was in the service and then moved to Glencoe. This marriage was blessed with three children, Sandra, Todd, and Michelle. Dorothy worked as a supervisor at 3M in Hutchinson for over 25 years and retired in October of 1997. Dorothy and Maynard shared 38 years of marriage until Maynard passed away on January 23, 1996.
On August 12, 2000, Dorothy was united in marriage to Edwin “Eddie” Brelje by Pastor Harvey Kath at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe. After their marriage, the couple resided in Glencoe. Dorothy and Eddie shared 21 years of marriage.
Dorothy was an active member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe and played a part in numerous events, fundraisers as well as office and accounting duties. Her faith and family were very important to her. Dorothy was also a proud and active member of the Glencoe VFW Auxiliary.
Dorothy enjoyed bowling and going on bowling trips all over the United States. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and cooking and was known for her excellent pickles and potato salad. Dorothy volunteered at the local thrift store. Dorothy loved doing puzzles, playing cards, especially sheepshead, buck euchre, and 500. She also enjoyed trying her luck at the casinos. Dorothy cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Dorothy passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022, at Glencoe Regional Heath in Glencoe at the age of 84 years. Blessed be her memory.
