Service Information

Alan Hagen, age 75, of Hutchinson, husband of Lucy, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Glencoe Long Term Care in Glencoe, Minnesota.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 30th, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at the Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Brownton.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 30th, 2018, from 9:00-11:00 A.M. at the church.

Arrangements are with the Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson.

Obituary

Alan L. Hagen was born on October 27, 1942, in Hutchinson, Minnesota. He was the son of Chester and Eleanore (Pofahl) Hagen. Alan was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth both at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson.  He received his education in Stewart, Minnesota, and was a graduate of the Stewart High School Class of 1960.

On December 19th, 1964, Alan was united in marriage to Lucy Sickmann at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with three children, Wendy, Jodi and Chad. Alan and Lucy lived and raised their family in Hutchinson. Alan and Lucy shared 53 years of marriage.

Alan was roofer with Marty’s Roofing and then worked construction with Miller, Miller and Mac Construction.  He began working at 3M in 1968, and was employed there for 33 years and retired in 2001. Alan was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and he was also a member of Gopher Campfire, Ducks Unlimited, and Pheasants Forever.

Alan loved the peacefulness of the great outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He enjoyed deer, duck, goose, and pheasant hunting.   Alan also enjoyed bowling and trap shooting.  He cherished the time he spent with his family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.

Alan passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, April 26th, 2018, at Glencoe Long Term Care in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 75 years.  He will be dearly missed by many.  Blessed be his memory.

Alan is survived by his:
Wife, Lucy Hagen of Hutchinson, MN;
Children, Wendy Benusa and her husband, Allen of Hutchinson, MN,
                   Jodi Warzecha and her husband, Larry of Hutchinson, MN,
                   Chad Hagen and his significant other, Bridget Anderson of Hutchinson, MN;
Grandchildren, Anastasia Benusa, Courtney Frick and her significant other, Todd Breyer, Breanna Warzecha and her significant other, Max Garaghty, Elizabeth Warzecha, Kianna Hagen and Carson Hagen;
Great-Grandchildren, Jordan Breyer, Mackenzie Breyer, MaKynna Breyer, and MaKayla Breyer;
Nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Alan is preceded in death by his: Parents, Chester and Eleanore Hagen; Brothers, Rodger Hagen and Adrian Hagen.
