Al was baptized as an infant on December 12, 1965 and confirmed as a youth on March 27, 1981, both at Blessed Sacrament Church in West Fargo, North Dakota.  He received his education at West Fargo High School and was a graduate of the West Fargo Class of 1984.

Growing up Al enjoyed pool league and playing baseball, hockey and softball. Al was known for his generosity, sense of humor, opinion, quick wit and sarcasm. He thrived on being right and was acceptably arrogant. Al enjoyed his Camaro and Chevelle, guns and watching Wheel of Fortune. He was always up for a good time, loved to travel to car shows, restaurants, wineries and breweries. Al especially loved being a Grandpa and spending time with family and friends.

Cindy and family, we were so very sad to hear of Al’s passing. Our hearts and prayers have been with you since we heard the news.
Many, many people on the Preferred Pump trip have expressed their sympathies and condolences. It is truly a sad time.
A saying from Rodney I thought was appropriate: “It’s not how many years you live, it’s how much life was in your years.” I think Al would have liked that.
Please know we are with you in spirit.
    Love and continued prayers

My sincere condolences to the Pulkrabek family. I have known most of them for a long time. I am a West Fargo alumni from the good old days. I played a lot of ball with father Leonard and brother Randy over the years. My daughter, Jodi, graduated with Wendy and was the same age as Al. He was a real nice guy and will be loved in heaven by all. RIP Al Roger (Huck) Heflin
