Obituary
Albin Herman Klobe was born on April 7, 1928, in Glencoe, Minnesota. He was the son of Herman and Josephine (Classen) Klobe. Albin was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in his faith as a youth, both at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church (now St. Pius X) in Glencoe. Albin went to the country school near his home for grades 1-3, then attended Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic School for grades 4-8. He graduated from Glencoe High School with the class of 1945.
Albin was united in marriage to Clara “Teddy” Beste on June 22, 1954, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport, Minnesota. The couple made their home on the Klobe Family Farm in rural Glencoe, Minnesota. Albin and Teddy were blessed with 5 children; Nancy, Jeanne, Mary Jo, Alan, and David. Albin and Teddy shared over 63 years together until Teddy passed away on November 4, 2017.
Albin farmed with his mother after his father passed away in 1945; he and Teddy purchased the farm in 1962. Albin was also employed as a postal clerk at the United States Postal Service in Glencoe for 28 years; he retired on October 2, 1992. Albin was a lifelong member of the Church of St. Pius X in Glencoe, Minnesota, and was an active and faithful member there for many years. He served as an usher, lector, a Eucharistic Minister, sang with the choir, and was a member of many other committees as well. Albin was also a chairman of the cemetery committee. After retirement from the post office, Albin volunteered at the church office.
Albin enjoyed going dancing with Teddy, traveling, and playing sheepshead. He also enjoyed spending time at the lake, and fishing. Albin was Mr. Fix It; he had a knack for fixing just about anything. After Teddy passed away, he moved to Orchard Estates in Glencoe where he enjoyed many activities with friends, new and old. He was a humble and loving man, who cherished spending time with family and with friends.

Valerie J. Thomas says
My sympathies and condolences to the family of Albin Klobe. I didn’t know Al personally, I only met him the one time, on Alan & Reece’s wedding day. But from that brief encounter it wasn’t hard to see that he was a very kind, loving & caring man. And after working with Alan at HTI for over 30 years it’s evident that these wonderful traits were passed down from Father to Son.
Just as the sun will rise and set with each and every dawn, the souls of those who lived life well, eternally live on. Cherish the memories; for they allow us to hang on while letting go. Wishing you peace and comfort in days ahead.
Alan & Reece Klobe says
Thank you Val for the kind words and condolences
