Service Information

Allen L. Christopher, age 89, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at The Estates at Roseville in Roseville, Minnesota.

Memorial Service will be Saturday, November 16, 2024, 1:00 P.M., at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, with interment at a later date in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Gathering of Family and Friends will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorial Service will be livestreamed via https://www.ctkhutch.com/live

Military Honors by Hutchinson Memorial Rifle Squad.

Obituary

Allen Lee Christopher was born on July 6, 1935, in Armstrong, Iowa. He was the son of Leslie and Iva (Eastman) Christopher. Allen was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in his faith as a youth, both at Vineyard United Methodist Church in Hutchinson, Minnesota. He received his education in Hutchinson, and was a graduate of the Hutchinson High School Class of 1953.

Allen entered active military service in the United States Army on July 17, 1958, in Glencoe, Minnesota. He received a transfer to the United States Army Reserve on April 16, 1960, at Fort Lee, Virginia, and achieved the rank of Private First Class.

On June 14, 1986, Allen was united in marriage to Carol Bullert at Christ the King Lutheran Church. Al was blessed with 3 children, Gary, Casey, Daniel, and 4 step children Timothy, Jody, Leonard and Janell. Allen and Carol resided in Hutchinson. They shared 38 years of marriage.

Allen was self-employed and owned his own trucking and household moving company. He was a member of the local legion.

Allen enjoyed farming, fishing, reading and playing card and dice games. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends.

Allen passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at The Estates at Roseville in Roseville, Minnesota, at the age of 89 years.

Sons, Gary Christopher of Aurora, CO,
Casey Christopher of Richmond, VA;
Step Children, Timothy Everson,
Jody Everson of PA,
Leonard Bullert and his wife, Rowena of Lake Placid, FL,
Janell Sellers of Rochester, MN;
9 Grandchildren; 2 Step grandchildren;
14 Great grandchildren;
Sister, Lois Westlund of Ocean Shores, WA;
Many other relatives and friends.

Allen is preceded in death by his Parents, Leslie and Iva Christopher; Son, Daniel Christopher; Step Granddaughter, Megan Everson; Siblings John Christopher, Frances Christopher, Lela Graupmann; Brothers-in-law, Delbert Graupmann, Carl Westlund.
