Arline Kiecker, age 87, of Fairfax, formerly of Franklin passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, February 21, 2022, 11:00 A.M. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Fairfax with interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, February 21, 2022, from 9:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M., two hours prior to the service at the church.
Obituary
Arline Mary Fox was born in Bird Island, Minnesota, on May 13, 1934, and was the eldest of 12 children of Andrew and Bertha (Dummer) Fox. She was baptized and confirmed in her faith at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bird Island. She attended country school for one year and then attended St. Mary’s grade school and High School graduating in 1952. Arline performed clerical work for several companies in Minneapolis and at the Renville County Courthouse in Olivia, Minnesota.
Arline was united in marriage to Elgar Kiecker on January 11, 1961, and they made their home in Fairfax. This union was blessed with seven children. Arline was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker and she began a twenty-year career as a cook at St. Andrew’s Grade School when her youngest child began school. Later, following the closing of the school, she worked in the laundry department at the Fairfax Community Home. Arline enjoyed singing and was the choir leader for many years at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church where she was a member. She was an avid reader, bread maker, and bargain hunter. Arline enjoyed gardening with Elgar and for a period of time sewed clothing for the entire family. Arline and Elgar shared 61 years of marriage. Blessed be her memory.

Three great-grandchildren;
Two great-great-grandchildren;
Sisters, Rita Trapp, Janet (DuWayne) Haney, Kathleen Marks, Jean (Dean) Rood, Suzanne (Scott) Sanders;
Brother, John (Kay) Fox;
Sister-in-law, Lila Anderson;
Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Arline was preceded in death by her Parents; Siblings, Daniel Fox, Mary Ellen Fox, Diane Fox, Virginia Fox, and an infant sister; Sister-in-law, Elaine Kiecker; Brothers-in-law, Charles Trapp, Quentin Marks, Marlin Kiecker and Loren Anderson.
