Service Information
Arlys Palmer age 93, of Fairfax, passed away Sunday, December 13th, 2015 at the Fairfax Community Home in Fairfax.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, December 16th, 2:00 P.M. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Fairfax, with interment in St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery, Cario Township, Renville County.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
Obituary
Arlys Augusta (Peterson) Palmer was born on June 15, 1922, on a farm in Palmyra Township, Renville County, Minnesota. She was the daughter of David and Sarah “Tina” (Skolberg) Peterson. Arlys was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth. She attended country school District #71.
On May 6, 1957, Arlys was united in marriage to Jerome Palmer at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Fairfax. After their marriage, the couple resided in Fairfax. She worked at A.D.C. in Fairfax for 14 years, retiring in 1980. Arlys and Jerome shared 48 years of marriage before he passed away in 2004.
Arlys was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Fairfax.
Arlys enjoyed playing cards, doing her word find puzzles and putting puzzles together. She loved spending time with family and friends.
When she needed assistance with her daily care, Arlys became a resident of the Fairfax Community Home and passed away there on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at the age of 93 years. Blessed be her memory.
Arlys is survived by her:
Sister and Brother-In-Law, Vivian and Myron Schroeder;
Sisters-In-Law, Delores Palmer, Marilyn Palmer and Eileen Thies; and
Nieces, Nephews other relatives and friends.
Arlys was preceded in death by her Parents, David and Sarah “Tina” Peterson; Husband, Jerome Palmer; Sister and Brother-In-Law, Doris and Fred Hatten; Brother and Sister-In-Law, Howard and Leora Peterson; and Brothers-In-Law, Harold, Willard, Roland, Elmer and Stanley Palmer, and Stanley Thies.
